On top of that, according to researchers, consuming alcohol is believed to be beneficial in reducing risk of diabetes.

Differentiating between alcoholic drinks

Now that you have very valuable information about the advantages of having some spirit here and then, let’s get to the juicy stuff. Probably you think that you can distinguish between alcohol and spirits, and there are some very important facts to take into account before going through the main aspects of each of them. We need to know that alcohol levels are different depending on the type of drink, for example wine, rum or beer. In general terms, we can tell that spirits have more alcohol volume than most other alcoholic beverages like cognac and sangria. While a classic beer has around 4 to 6% alcohol by volume (ABV), cider has a similar amount, and wine usually contains between 12.5 and 15% ABV.  However, when it comes to spirits, we can easily find around 35 to 42% ABV.

Is Spirit better than other types of alcohol?

As you may imagine, it depends. As much as we like to get straight answers, the truth is that it all comes down to the amount of alcohol that you drink, as well as how well you can tolerate it. For example, 1 glass of wine tends to have less effect than a shot of tequila, for this reason it is key to look at the ABV of every bottle and go slowly, according to how our body reacts.
